Nobody tells an 8,000 lb. sea mammal what it is or isn't going to have for lunch and the same applies to the fresh new Lib Tech T.Rice Apex Orca Snowboard. If it happens to be a 50 degree face with massive mandatory air, so much the better. Featuring the new Techno Pop construction with tip to tail unidirectional carbon fiber and massive Mega X Carbon reinforcements emanating from the binding mount areas backing up a core of Aspen, Paulownia and recycled plastic bottles, the Apex Orca is ready to make a feast of any slope you point it at.

C2X – A shorter, more aggressive banana rocker combined with cambers that sit more underfoot. Extra solid tip and tail pressure for power, pop, precision and end-to-end stability combined with a medium amount of pressure between your feet for carving, edge hold on ice and float in pow.

If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice. Freeride Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction. Powder Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.
