Ten years ago the Völkl Mantra Skis were a top pick for an all-mountain expert skier who wanted a single pair of skis to do it all. After years of development and refinement, they still are! They've grown slightly wider over the years, and now feature a fully rockered profile, but they still have that ideal balance of edge-to-edge quickness and soft snow prowess. Two Titanal laminate layers keep the Mantra silky smooth at any speed, while the combination of a sidecut-matched rocker profile and full sidewall construction combines edgehold and all-terrain performance as well as any ski in the business. Mount up the Volkl Mantra Skis and tackle it all.
Full Rocker – Völkl Full Rocker is a smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail, with matching sidecut and a symmetrical flex pattern. All the benefits of extra maneuverability in soft snow while delivering smooth, sexy arcs of groomed terrain. The matching flex and sidecut on the full rocker gives you full, uninterrupted edge contact. The more the ski is on edge the more effective that edge becomes, and the resulting smoothness and predictability is uncanny.
Moderate Tip & Tail Taper
Multi-Layer Wood Core – Völkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern is tailored to each ski model, depending on the desired performance.
Full Titanal – Sportive material layup for high dampening and reliability.
Full Sidewall – Direct and strong power transmission with full length sidewalls.
P-Tex 2100 Base – A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
