What the Swiss call an "all-mountain" ski fits squarely into the "carver" paradigm in North America, and the Stöckli Montero AR Skis certainly do that. If you've never been on a true GS race ski, these will seem like rocket ships on rails, but it's the quality of the ride that sets Stöckli apart from the other carvers. Deceptively smooth, even on very firm snow, you'll hardly believe how fast you're going as you blow by other good skiers pushing it to their limit. All-mountain rocker and 2.5 sheets of Titanal are not uncommon, but the refinement of the AR is, and you should experience it.
Tail Rocker – Decreases the amount of edge contact toward the tail, making the ski more playful
Tip Rocker – Better float in powder and less effort required to initiate turns
Adaptive Contact Length – Edge contact with the snow increases as the ski is put on edge
Full Edge Contact
All-Mountain Core – Light Poplar and Beech woods
Titanal Pro Technology – Double Titanal layers with graphics directly applied to the topsheet and treated for scratch resistance; looks great and reduces weight.
Full Polywall Sidewall – Great impact resistance and durability.
Racing Graphite Base
Solid Metal Edge Light – Same edge thickness as the standard edge, but with thinner insertion tabs.
Base Edge Bevel – 1.5˚
Side Edge Bevel – 2˚
Made in Switzerland
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
