The Blizzard Firebird SRC Skis + X-Cell 12 Bindings are about as close to a real race setup as you can get without requiring "race" level effort and speed all of the time - in short, they take what's great and exhilarating about race skis and make it enjoyable for regular skiing and skiers. The SRC features a tight sidecut that makes short radius turns seems like second nature, and Blizzard's standard race construction including C-Armour and C-Spine carbon fiber augmentation.
Full Camber – For maximum energy coming out of the turn and superior weight distribution along the entire edge of the ski.
C-Armor + C-Spine Core – Dense laminated wood core with two layers of bi-directional carbon fiber. A layer of bi-directional carbon fiber is placed above top layer of Titanal and is positioned from edge to edge under the middle section of the ski, directly under the FDT Race or WC Piston Race plate. This layer of carbon fiber adds additional support to the middle section of the ski.
Two Layers of Titanal®
Sandwich Compound Sidewall (Ti) – Full sidewalls provide torsional rigidity and constant pressure along the full length of the ski. The result is better energy transmission, stability, control and ultimately greater performance.
Sintered Graphite Race Base
FDT Race Plate Pro – New plate system that provides WC Piston plate performance in an adjustable binding platform.
Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to Skis – Always have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.
Duratec – A thicker textured surface combined with maximum edge radius and aluminum tip protectors to contribute to the durabilty and longevity of your skis.
