To create this high-performance, neoprene-free wetsuit, the crew at Patagonia combined a plant-based (rather than petroleum-based) rubber material with chlorine-free synthetic rubber to establish an insulating fit and flexibility that's on par if not better than traditional neoprene suits. Yulex® Natural Rubber – Neoprene-free natural rubber that is derived from sources that are Forest Stewardship Council™ certified by the Rainforest Alliance. Using natural rubber in place of non-renewable energy-intensive neoprene means up to 80% less climate-altering CO2 is emitted in Patagonia's polymer manufacturing process.
Sustainable Manufacturing – Natural rubber is derived from sources that are Forest Stewardship Council® certified by the Rainforest Alliance; synthetic rubber is chlorine-free.
Fit
Floating Front-Zip w/ Corrosion-Proof Salmi® Zipper – Provides extra room to get in/out while also extending the suit's lifespan. Zipper is fully repairable.
