The GNU Space Case Asym C2X Snowboard is back for more menacing fun. Designed by Forest Bailey to fulfill his progressive all-mountain freestyle vision, the Space Case features an asymmetrical sidecut that makes toeside turns effortless while the new aggressive C2 contours provide the control and stability needed to shred some of the most technically challenging lines. Designed to tackle it all with a creative freestyle flair, the GNU Space Case Asym C2X Snowboard proves that snowboard design is anything but stagnant.

C2X – Rocker between your feet combined with radial cambers out to the contact. Freestyle freedom and carving of rocker between the feet for a more aggressive ride.

Shape
Level 2 Asym Scale | Sidecut, Core & Contacts – Asymmetric wood core allows for softer flexing on the heelside. There is also a deeper sidecut on the heelside and asymmetric contact angles and length. Shorter heelside contact.
Asymmetry – The human body is asymmetric. Turn mechanics on a toe and heel side turn are completely different. GNU builds in asymmetric balancing concepts to each side of your snowboard harmonizing with nature and creating a more efficient, less tiring, unreal ride.
Core
Aspen / Columbian Gold / Paulownia Alloy – Balanced, lighter, sustainable, FSC-certified, strong and poppy.
Laminates
Tri-Ax / Bi-Ax – A glass and fiber reinforcement combination to give the snowboard a long life and plenty of pop.
Sidewalls
UHMW – Ultra High Molecular Weight exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof sidewalls.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
