The Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard is the step forward in a long history that is the Burton Custom. Equipped with Burton's Flying V™, Super Fly II™ Core and Sintered WFO Base, the Custom Flying V handles everything that the mountain has to offer in style. The combination of precise control and amazing float in powder makes the the Burton Flying V Snowboard a great choice for everyday shredding at your local hill.
Flying V™ – A Springloaded blend of camber and rocker performance, Flying V™ offers the best of both worlds. Rocker overall, including between and outside your feet, enhances playfulness and float through pow. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones focus edge-control for crisp snap, added pop, and power through turns.
Flex Rating: 5 (1 Soft - 10 Very Stiff) – A medium flex for easy turn initiation and forgiving landings
Twin Flex – Having a twin flex indicates that your board is perfectly symmetrical in flexibility from tip to tail so you gain a more balanced and predictable ride.
Infinite Ride™ – This Burton-exclusive technology allows for maximized pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
Twin – The shape is perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that's equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability no matter which way you point it.
Pro-Tip™ – A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Super Fly II™ Core – Designed to target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight, this core is further optimized for float in Burton's freeride focused boards, and strength in park-focused boards.
Dual Zone™ EGD™ – Engineered Grain Direction manipulates the angles and direction of wood grains in the core for superior edge-hold, response, and durability.
Squeezebox – This improves performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from where it originates beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board more stable and easily manipulated.
45° Carbon Highlights – Carbon Highlights optimize each layer of the fiberglass matrix and add a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce overall weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. A 60° fiber angle creates a highly maneuverable and playful feel, while a 45° fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride. In select Hi-Voltage models, the addition of carbon strands to the angled fiber layers adds life and further reduces weight.
10:45 Sidewalls – Aggressive rippers take note. 10:45’s extra-meaty, dual angle geometry results in bomber impact absorption.
Sintered WFO Base – Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays wide open all season in any condition.
Diecut Base Color – Combinations may vary
Frostbite Edges – Edges beneath your bindings extend out slightly for tremendous edgehold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don’t, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining forgiving in softer conditions.
20-30% Recycled content
Eliminated Printing Chemicals – Uses more eco-friendly inks than traditional printing methods
The Channel™ – Gives you the quickest, easiest way to mount your bindings with the most stance options possible: Take control of your stance and your board like never before, micro-adjust your width and angles with ALL major binding formats including EST®, Re:Flex™, and Disc. M6 hardware means it's compatible with all major binding companies, making it a choice for any rider.
