Out of complete selflessness, Bataleon has dropped another bomb on the snowboarding community - the Bataleon Whitegold Shaka Snowboard. After giving us the Camel Toe, one of the best tools for devouring powduh, a ton of upgrades later and the Shaka was born for the most dedicated riders out there. Bataleon has upgraded the core with an even lighter Swiss poplar and paulownia construction with carbon and cork stringers adding durability and dampening vibrations. Bamboo sidewalls decrease overall spin weight, and a strip of bamboo down the middle of the board makes turning this into a DIY splitboard hassle-free. If you take your powder riding seriously, it'll be hard to resist the Bataleon Whitegold Shaka Snowboard.
Pow 3BT – These boards are tapered, have setback stances, and feature the narrowest centerbase section and the most uplift of all the Bataleon shapes, making them the most surfy of the bunch. The nose has more uplift angle and overall area for maximum float, and the tail has a mellower uplift angle and smaller area for better backseat riding.
Flex Rating: 7 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – Stiff flex for aggressive, fast riding.
Directional
Verylight Core – Made with a combination of Swiss poplar and paulownia wood for optimal strength to weight. Not only is this core light, it's tough enough to handle the rigors of aggressive riding and abuse. Light enough to feel the difference when you loft an ollie or pick up your board, yet strong enough for high speed, high chatter riding.
V-Core Profile – Bataleon's full-length wood V-Core Profile has material milled out between the inserts to create a highly maneuverable and natural flexing feel between the feet. Under the bindings and towards the tips is normal thickness for strength to load up pop and put down landings.
Split Core – A bamboo insert down the middle allows for seamless DIY spliboard construction. All you need is a jigsaw!
Carbon Enhanced – Carbon adds explosive snap, precise control, smooth dampening and it's feather light. Bataleon uses it to enhance the ride of their high-end boards. By placing Carbon stringers in key areas of the board they are able to increase the connection between the rails of your board making it feel more responsive.
Tri-Ax Laminate – Bataleon's tri-axial or three-way fiberglass is a weave of fibers in three directions: 45, 0 and -45 degrees. It's like their bi-ax layup with with added fibers running tip to tail. This stiffens up the board and adds more snap, while also offering better edge control and grip. The added strands of glasses make boards more aggressive and more responsive overall.
Cork Stringers – Cork is put into the board to get rid of unwanted vibrations and smooth out your riding experience. Bataleon uses stringers under the core in combination with carbon on most Whitegold boards.
Bamboo Sidewalls
Sintered Base – Hard and fast. Sintered base material is tough stuff and its microscopic pores retain wax nuggets for a slick slide. To get the maximum benefits from a sintered base it needs to be waxed regularly. Bataleon finishes theirs with a proper hot wax before they leave the factory.
Die-Cut Base – Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
