The WNDR Alpine Vital 100 Reverse Camber Skis are arguably WNDR's most versatile offering, with dimensions capable of excelling in everything from classic spring corn to blower pow to icy steeps. When it comes to recommending a single touring ski to handle all conditions, evo recommends something right around 100mm in the waist and light but not "too light" for stability in challenging conditions - the Vital 100 nails it on both counts.
Asymmetric Big Mountain Rocker with Reverse Camber – Gradual tip rocker, reverse camber, slight tail rocker
Camber or Reverse Camber? – Camber refers to the gap you see when you place a pair of skis together base to base. If you see a small gap, the ski is cambered; if there is no gap it is reverse combered or fully rockered. WNDR Alpine makes each of its models in either shape. Generally, the cambered versions will perform better on harder snow (i.e. groomers) with more pop as you finish the turn and tend to be preferred by those who plan to ski both in and out of bounds on the ski. Generally a reverse camber model provides a surfier ride with easier pivoting in challenging snow and may be preferred for pure backcountry conditions. Your personal preference may vary - there are plenty of people who prefer a cambered ski for touring or a fully rockered ski for on piste skiing.
Progressive Flex – A medium to stiff flex at the tail, stiff through the midsection, and gradually decreasing stiffness toward the tip

A Choice of Rocker or Camber – Each WNDR ski width is offered in either full reverse camber or rocker-camber-rocker profiles. Choose your profile according to your ski style (or the day) - positive camber enhances edgehold and pop and has a more traditional feel; reverse camber delivers a more playful surfy feel with more pivotability.
