Seth Morrison continues to evolve as a skier, and that’s why the K2 SideSeth Skis have found their new home in BackSide family. Just like the ob-Seth-ed, this ski aims towards soft snow, but with more ability to handle variable conditions like those Seth finds in Chamonix. As a reflection of Seth’s recent focus on more technical big mountain skiing, the SideSeth has the addition of maple and a stiffer tail with slightly less rocker than its predecessor. This is in order to improve hard snow performance for a more versatile, hard-charging plank that’s specialized for big mountain skiing. The slightly raised kick tail retains versatility and forgiveness in narrow, concave couloirs, while it also increases the ski’s utility as a tool.
Powder Rocker™ – Designed for deep snow with the most elevated tip and longest measurement of rocker, offering skiers a “surfy” feel with enhanced soft-snow performance. The camber region still exists to ensure edge hold in firmer conditions.
Fir/Aspen/Maple Core – Solid and dense woods known for their inherent strength and durability. Maple adds durability and power.
Hybritech Sidewall Construction – Built into the wider waisted Side models and combines the accuracy and powerful performance of a sidewall underfoot with the lightweight and smooth turn initiation feeling of a cap.
Progressive Sidecut – A combination of two different radii that enhance the versatility of wider-waist skis guaranteeing improved turn initiation and hard-snow performance
**Please note that base colors will alternate and may not arrive exactly as pictured.
Tip/Tail Hardware – Vastly increases the skis’ utility: By allowing you to build a rescue sled or construct various ski anchors, you can carry less weight while increasing your safety margin. These holes also function as attachment points for K2 Pre-Cut Skins and come with a removable plug.
Skin Clip Arc – The tails are designed with a concave notch to ensure that the skin clip, regardless of size or skin brand, stays securely centered on the tail.
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
