Big, bigger, biggest. Now add 10 millimeters and stand back. POW. The K2 Powabunga Skis tip the Width-O-Meter like no ski before. While not exactly an all-rounder, the Powabunga is surprisingly nimble on the groomed and in tight spaces, making it an excellent tree ski on those über-deep days. What's more, no one will lose sight of you with those day-glo green topsheets and bases. K2 historians take note of the subliminal Hellbent graphics just under the topsheet surface. You know what we're talkin' about, this ski's got roots.
Powder Rocker – High and long rise in the tip and tail to maximize float in softer snow.
Medium Flex
Tapered Tip/Tail – A design feature that shifts the contact points with the snow towards the midsole of the ski, reducing deflection in the tip and easing turn release in the tail.
Powder Tip – Designed to be more predictable in soft snow conditions, these tips are designed to strike the perfect balance of maximizing float while reducing tip deflection. These tips are designed with a gentle arc and transition into the sidecut of the ski.
W----I---D---E, fat, immense
Aspen / Paulownia / Bamboo – The solid strength of Aspen and the incomparable lightness of Paulownia, with bamboo stringers for extra pop and flavor.
Triaxial Braid – A K2-patented machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled core for pronounced torsional strength, while retaining the lively flex patterns inherent in a wood ski.
TwinTech Sidewalls – A durable sidewall construction used on twin tip skis that makes the top sheet more to resistant to ski vs. ski impact damage.
Swap Base – K2 maximizes base material usage by alternating the contrasting die cut pieces - your base may be the reverse of what you see pictured.
K2 Skin Grommets – Built in tip and tail attachments for K2 skins give you the lightest and cleanest skin system available.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
