K2 Press Skis 2011: The K2 Press Ski is built with a unique flex pattern that keeps it rigid underfoot while still remaining soft in the tip and tail. Combine that with Jib Rocker and you have a ski that butters and ollies like no other. The K2 Press Ski utilizes a lightweight vertical cap construction for durability and control while keeping the ski light as a feather. Like the name implies, this park ski is designed to press, and at 85mm underfoot, it is stable enough to lap the entire mountain.
Jib Rocker – 0% Camber, 20% Rocker – Designed for the terrain park, this elevated tip and tail with zero camber underfoot offers the best blend of playfulness for butters and surface tricks combined with increased pop for unmatched ollie power.
CAP construction means they are built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski.
Use: Powder: 20%, Park: 80%
Triaxial braiding in the core consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. The patented machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength, while maintaining the lively flex patterns of the wood core.
Requires a binding brake width between 85mm and 95mm
