When the K2 Mindbender series hit the deck, it took about 10 turns to convince a bunch of expert skiers and industry folk that K2 was back in the game, and most often the ski that turned the tide was the K2 Mindbender 99Ti Skis. With all due respect to the venerable Austrian and German models that traditionally dominate this class, the Mindbender 99Ti holds its own by any measure - edgehold, composure at the limit, and precision through the turn. If you don't believe us, it's worth taking a test drive - the Mindbender 99Ti will have you rolling like a boss.
All-Terrain Rocker – Skis with All-Terrain rocker have a gradual rise to the tip for great versatility in all conditions, with a short, low rise in the tail for added control variable snow.
Maple / Aspen Core – Dense Maple and lightweight Aspen combine for a powerful, damp ride.
Ti Y-Beam – K2’s Ti Y-Beam delivers precision in the forebody of the ski, power under foot and stability in the tail, all while maintaining the maneuverability and drift control needed for freeride ripping. Precision cut Titanal in a ‘Y’ shape alters the torsional stiffness of the ski while maintaining a balanced, even flex pattern that delivers power in a controlled manner throughout the length of the ski.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
