K2 A.M.P. Aftershock Skis 2012: With the widest dimensions in the A.M.P. series, the K2 A.M.P. Aftershock Skis are creating fracture lines through your preconceived notions of what an all-mountain ski can do. These are built to handle ungroomed and softer snow conditions, but don’t be fooled, the Aftershock Skis are still lively and agile enough for groomers, making it one of the most versatile skis for any resort. All-Terrain Rocker™ gives this ski the added versatility to rip the open trees and explore a side of the mountain that you never thought you could. BINDINGS ARE NOT INCLUDED.
All-Terrain Rocker™ is designed for all ability levels with added versatility and ease in all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance with camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Progressive Sidecut is a combination of two different radii that enhances the versatility of wider-waist skis. This guarantees improved turn initiation and hard-snow performance.
Mod Technology is a high-performance suspension system that absorbs vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge hold, power, and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, leaving the overall ski flex unaffected.
Mod Monic is a focused mass-dampener made of a solid zinc mass that focuses mass dampening at a targeted location on the Mod structure.
Hybritech Sidewalls are a unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions that combine the accuracy, power, and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction.
Aspen and Paulownia core: Aspen is solid and dense; Paulownia is an eco-friendly, fast-growing renewable wood that is incredibly strong and lightweight.
Metal Laminate consists of 2 sheets of lightweight Titanal running the length of the ski. Alternating layers of fiberglass and Titanal sandwich the wood core to provide dampened, accurate, and unshakable performance.
