The Powder Hull gives the Watea an awesome freeride feeling – direct from speedboat engineering. The Powder Hull drives through the snow, pushing it to the side like the bow and bull of a boat in water, for maximum maneuverability, faster skiing, more precise guidance, better float and faster turns.
Construction
The Sandwich Sidewall Construction is perfect for maximum edge hold and extremely smooth running as a result.
Flex
I-Beam Technology gives the Watea 114 a carbon fiber beam embedded in the wood core for improved torsion and stability. The I-Beam stands up to the toughest of situations.

Many powder skis today are versatile enough to handle mixed conditions and harder snow. Alpine Touring Also known as backcountry skis, alpine touring (AT) skis are designed for going uphill as well as downhill. These skis are typically light for their width and many feature fittings that accept climbing skins. AT skis vary in width and weight, with the wider heavier versions usually used for winter/deep snow touring and the skinnier, lighter skis usually used for spring/summer/long distance touring.
