Yes, the skis are named after THAT Hannibal, but this is ski touring so there's no need to drag an elephant along for the trip - the Fischer Hannibal 96 Carbon Skis free up some valuable energy for the ascent with an ultralight construction based on a milled Paulownia Woodcore, Carbon Tex layup, and Air Tech Ti reinforcement in the binding zone. The skis are carefully shaped to minimize mass at the perimeter using Fischer's Aeroshape molding process as well, giving you the most bang for your buck in any touring scenario.
Tour Rocker – Gradual tip rocker ensures easier turn initiation in variable snow, camber underfoot and short tail rocker provide secure edgehold.
Aeroshape – Special lightweight design reduces mass while retaining torsional stability.
Milled Paulownia Wood Core – The lightest wood in the world, made even lighter with careful CNC milling
Titanal Binding Reinforcement
Carbon Tex – Extraordinarily strong and light carbon fiber strips overlaid in a flexible single laminated layer for torsional strength, stability and energy dispersion.
Sandwich Sidewall Construction – Wood core combined with ABS sidewalls in a classic Sandwich Construction for balanced flex and perfect rebound.
Sintered Bases – Sintered bases have exceptional waxing properties and a very long service life.
Lightweight Touring Edge
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
