Atomic Automatic Skis 2013: The Bent Chetler has become the staple ski for not only Chris Benchetler but also Tim Durtschi, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and Dana Flahr. But Sage and Dana’s skiing styles are a bit more directional than that of Chris and Tim so the need for another ski was in order. Introducing the Atomic Automatic Skis, wider in the tip and waist for charging deep snow but narrower in the tail for quickness. This is a stiffer ski to provide stability for skiing bigger lines at higher speeds.
Powder Rocker: for freeskiers who want perfect lift in powder while still desiring stability on hard snow
Flotation with 30% tip rocker / 55% camber / 15% tail rocker
Wood core
The Titanium SPB (Sprocket Power Booster) allows the skier’s energy to be directly transferred from the binding to the edges.
The combination of wood core and SPB stabilizes the Rocker area and ensures extremely smooth skiing.
18m @ 179cm 128/117/117, 19m @ 186cm 130/117/119, 20m @ 193cm 132/117/121
Step Down Sidewall: the extremely durable sidewall construction below the binding improves damping, shock absorption, and therefore edge grip. Half-cap construction at the tip and tail protects the ski from mechanical damage.
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
