Armada Halo Skis 2012: The creative application of patented EST Park Rocker to a park-specific chassis creates the next generation Armada Halo Skis for carving between transitions, buttering off them, and floating beyond them. Stable underfoot and loose and buttery at the tip and tails, the Halo slaughters the park for whole new levels of progression.
EST Park Rocker incorporates subtle rocker in the tips and tails with positive camber underfoot that enhances carving while also disengaging the tip and tail to create a catch-free feel that’s ideal for buttering and nose and tail presses.
This is a 5-dimension ski where the widest points are set back closer to the bindings for a tip and tail that are extremely maneuverable and hook-free for progressive, technical tricks.
With an AR50 side wall, the ABS sidewall meets Cap construction, combining lightweight cap construction in the tip and tail with ABS sidewall underfoot resulting in enhanced edgehold and significantly lower swing and overall weight.
The Halo has a 2.5 edge, an oversized height and width and the steel heat-treated to a proprietary hardness which helps resist breaking and tearing out from rails, ledges, and other abuse.
The S7 base, Armada’s toughest base, features a gliding additive for increased speed and longevity.
The Laminate Matrix consists of three kinds of fiberglass laminates used in combination to deliver the exact amount of flex and torsional rigidity needed in the appropriate places.
A blend of Carbon/Kevlar stringers run along the tail of the ski to stabilize it, creating a better landing platform, increased snap and added pop.
The Hybrid Double Zone core is made up of two high density wood stringers that sit along ultralight wood creating a light core with pop and solid edge hold, while keeping swing and overall weight down. ABS layers are pre-installed alongside the core directly underfoot to concentrate the weight of the ski below the boot sole to increase durability and lower swing weight.
Flex Pattern: tip - 5, waist - 7, tail - 6 (out of 10)
12.5m @ 170cm 94/111/81/100/85, 14m @ 176cm 95/112/82/101/86, 15.5m @ 182cm 96/113/83/102/87
We recommend a brake that is equal to the waist width and at most 20mm wider. (brake width = ski width + 20mm)
