This incredible touring tool weighs in at just over 1100 grams, skis as well as many mid-flex alpine boots, and tours like a dream. If you've been wondering how light you can go and still drive that ski the way you want, this may be the answer. As a bonus the Backland Carbon is one of the few light boots that remains relatively low volume, so you aren't swimming in the shell after a few days of skiing - and the forefoot can be modified for extra width using Atomic's proven Memory Fit heat molding process. Last: 98 mm – A narrow and low volume touring last.
Memory Fit – Advanced heat-fitting technology creates a fully personalized shell, cuff and liner in minutes. The key is Memolink, Atomic's special additive that improves the moldability and stretch of their plastics. Expansion can be up to 6mm forefoot width and up to 10mm ankle width, resulting in a permanent and complete anatomical fit in minutes. See your bootfitter for details.
