We've been dreaming for years of a lighter Rustler 11 that will do dual duty as a freeride ripper and backcountry slayer. The dream becomes reality this season with the introduction of the Blizzard Hustle 11 Skis. Built in the same molds but with a lighter TrueBlend Free Core and a modified Carbon D.R.T. insert instead of the Titanal one, the Hustle 11 kills it on powdery descents without killing you on the skin up. Mount this puppy up with a hybrid tech binding and light the fuse - the fireworks will be a thing of beauty.
Rocker Camber Rocker – Ski profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.
Shape Concept – Progressive wide body style with an aggressive radius. Early rise tail designed to be playful in softer snow.
TrueBlend Free Core – Combining Beech, Poplar and Paulownia woods in a uniquely balanced blend that's tailored to the performance needs of each Hustler ski, the TrueBlend Free cores are labor-intensive but worth the extra effort.
Carbon Flipcore Technology – A revolutionary rockered ski production process that incorporates a uni-directional carbon frame onto the core of the ski that results in great performance with a light and easy feel.
Carbon D.R.T. – The Dynamic Release Technology concept has been thoroughly tested and enthusiastically approved by users of the Rustler series skis, and the carbon iteration pushes the D.R.T. concept even further. Using a shorter Carbon and fiberglass insert rather than Titanal allows Blizzard to keep the strength and stability with less weight.
Sandwich Compound Sidewall – All Blizzard skis with the exception of some junior skis are built with ABS or Phenol sidewalls for superior performance (stability, power transmission, handling) and durability.

If you tour up to ski hard on the down, the Marker Kingpin 13 Demo Alpine Touring Ski Bindings has pretty much been the name of the game for a while now, and we don't see that changing any time soon. The revolutionary combination of tech toepiece and alpine heel continues to work wonders, providing natural, lightweight hiking on the way up and powerful, intuitive skiing on the way down. The toepiece has been reworked a bit for this year, with some tweaks to make step-in a bit smoother, even in gloppy snow conditions. And with the added bonus of demo binding adjustability, you can pass this setup around skiers with different boot sizes.
ISI Toe Piece – The new "Intuitive Step In" tech toepiece features a rubber stop pad and a wider step-in platform with easier step-in than previous models.
Anti Ice Pads – Anti Ice Pads in the base of toe to prevent icing in critical areas.
Kingpin Heel – The revolutionary heel construction for the Pin Technology bindings features wide sole contact points to deliver the kind of direct, lossless power transfer more frequently seen in alpine bindings. The Kingpin heel is also many times safer than traditional Pin Technology bindings.
XXL Power Transmitters – Extra large power transmitters in the heel with reduced weight for minimum friction and maximum centering for the lateral movement of the heel.
Vertical and Lateral Adjustable Release Function – Vertical and lateral individually adjustable release in the heel for improved release functionality.
