A world class race machine you can own yourself, Yeti Cycles SB160 T3 Complete Mountain Bike is a work of rideable art. Yeti has tightened up their fantastic Switch Infinity suspension design for this new bike, giving it a more predictable leverage curve that invites more speed everywhere. They've set aside the best carbon around for this TURQ build, with full Fox Factory suspension and SRAM's latest Transmission direct-mount wireless drivetrain. All that's missing is a race number: this bike is ready right now for the Enduro World Cup! Tough, light, and amazingly fast — if these adjectives are what you're after, you won't go wrong with the Yeti SB160.
TURQ Series Carbon Frame – TURQ Series bikes are made with the highest quality carbon fiber available and offer a perfect balance of stiffness and compliance. The result is a bike that feels smooth, solid, and aggressive. Every bike is tested by the best racers in the world, including EWS World Champ Richie Rude, Yeti's in-house testing team, and ambassadors around the world.
Switch Infinity Suspension – The new line of Yeti Switch Infinity bikes builds on their award-winning performance with subtle refined leverage rates that have been adjusted for the added travel of each new bike. This balanced approach to leverage rate results in an incredibly predictable ride. T/Carbon models have the latest Switch Infinity assembly, with improved seals, bearings, and hardware.
Fox Float X2 Factory Rear Shock – Combining ultra-plush coil-like comfort and incredible damping prowess with the light weight of an air spring and an unmatched level of tunability, the Float X2 brings new levels of control and performance to every terrain imaginable.
Shock Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure / 2 Position Open/Firm Lever (retains high and low speed compression settings) / High Speed Compression (8 Clicks) / Low Speed Compression (16 Clicks) / High Speed Rebound (8 Clicks) / Low Speed Rebound (16 Clicks)
Frame Protection – An external hard cap provides impact resistance over a rubber under-guard that provides cushion against the frame.
Full Drop – Yeti's seat tubes are shorter to allow for longer dropper posts.
Internal Cable Routing with Secure Frame Ports – This may seem like a small thing, but having a clean aesthetic on the frame along with internally molded carbon tubes inside for hassle-free cable routing is key. It makes for a quiet ride and ease of maintenance. For Yeti, building a great frame is all about the details.
Better Shock Tuning – Yeti has been tuning shocks in-house to ensure their kinematics pair seamlessly with their shocks. Using data acquisition and their shock dyno they are able to correlate hours of ride testing, splitting hairs over tenths of millimeters, to deliver the most out of their suspensions. The final tune is the result of countless hours of ride and lab testing with multiple, ground-up shock tunes going into the decision.
New Pivot Designs – Yeti's new pivot designs use 100% standard sized cartridge bearings secured with precision -- machined floating collet axles. All bearings are pressed into the linkage assembly vs. the swingarm or front triangle. The end result is perfect alignment and smooth suspension motion every time, boosting longevity.
Patented Compact Wishbone and Ultra Compact Suspension Link – The goal is simple: optimizing leverage rates while pushing the shock forward in the frame. This forward positioning allows for a large range of shock compatibility, decreases standover height, reduces shock tab sizes, increases water bottle compatibility, and increases downtube clearance.
Refined New School Geometry – From size-specific seat tube angles and chain stay lengths, to new reach numbers that keep both wheels weighted, Yeti's concentrated on making a more balanced ride. Yeti engineers and designers mined the depths of every millimeter to create a nuanced set of refinements that deliver another leap forward in how well a mountain bike can ride.
Fox 38 Factory – When you need to go really big, reach for the 38. Optimized for 160-180mm of travel and packing the same revolutionary feature set as the 36, the 38 redefines what you think a long travel single crown fork is capable of, and sets a new benchmark for confidence, performance, and durability. Welcome to the big time.
Fork Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure / High-Speed Compression (8 Clicks) / Low-Speed Compression (16 Clicks) / High-Speed Rebound (8 Clicks) / Low-Speed Rebound (16 Clicks)
SRAM X0 Eagle AXS Transmission – The next generation SRAM Eagle Transmission is a radically robust, fully integrated and interdependent wireless drivetrain. Built around the universal constant of the wheel axle itself, the Full Mount hangerless attachment creates a far stronger connection to the frame with a super tough derailleur. Shifting under load is made possible due to a combination of X-SYNC technology and cassette mapping, creating seamless shifts even during your hardest power output. The new AXS Pods are extremely ergonomic and highly customizable, so shifting gears is light and intuitive.
SRAM Centerline Rotors – 220mm Front / 200mm Rear
SRAM Code RSC – Meet the new standard for hard-hitting, heavy-duty braking. SRAM added 15% extra piston power and 30% more volume in the lever reservoir, ensuring peak performance for the full run. And with SwingLink™ and Lever Pivot Bearing technologies, lever feel remains smooth and progressive, no matter how hard the pull. Go deeper and grab more power.
Maxxis Assegai Front Tire – Greg Minnaar’s signature tire – the Maxxis Assegai – provides tenacious, predictable grip across the entire profile no matter the lean angle. The Assegai can be used front and rear for a surefooted feel or as a front paired with a faster rolling rear tire.
Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire – With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the DHR II corners like no other. The center tread features ramped leading edges to improve acceleration and sipes to create a smooth transition when leaning the bike. Paddle-like knobs on the center tread dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control. Pair it with a Minion DHF up front for the ultimate aggressive trail riding tire combo!
DT Swiss Custom EX1700 | 30mm – DT Swiss have taken all their aluminium wheel know-how and put it in this high performing package. EX 1700 Spline wheels are based on the famous 36t Ratchet hubs combining it with a super strong and welded 30 mm wide aluminium rim. The rim profile is designed to withstand the hardest use of Enduro racing while still keeping the weight low for long and demanding uphills. Laced to double butted competition straightpull spokes, the EX 1700 Spline wheels are built to take a beating.
