As one of the first long travel 29ers to actually function, the Transition Sentinel Alloy NX Complete Mountain Bike is set up for victory, especially when battling super steeps. Starting at the back, the Sentinel has wide and rigid Boost-148 spacing paired to 150mm of Fox Float X cushion with refined Giddyup 2.OHHH suspension. Up front, the hefty Fox Rhythm 36 spearheads good times from ascent to descent, along with a tailored Speed Balanced design that harnesses every pedal stroke of its 29" wheels and SRAM NX Eagle™ 12-speed drivetrain. All this creates a solid ride that's sure to draw out anyone's wild child - whether it's long days of pedaling up and down or steep, loamy descents.
GiddyUp 2.0HH Suspension – Building upon the success of Transition's original GiddyUp suspension design, the new GiddyUp 2.0HH system has been refined for the modern two-wheel cowboy delivering a slightly firmer feel for more efficient pedaling, as well as more progressive travel that provides that extra little bit of bottom-out support when needed.
Speed Balanced Geometry – SBG ensures the bike maintains low speed agility, front wheel traction, and proper rider weight balance while actually increasing confidence in steep terrain and at high speeds. With SBG, a slacker head tube angle is combined with an all new reduced offset fork standard, preventing the front wheel from being too far in front of the rider. This improves front to rear weight distribution on the bike, which is often out of balance on long and slack bikes. One of SBG's greatest benefits is that it creates a confident steering feel that adapts to wheel speed. More stability when going fast, more agility on technical slow speed maneuvering as well as improved traction, control and confidence for any skill level of rider.
Fox Float X Performance Rear Shock – Designed specifically to meet the demands of aggressive trail riders, the new Float X combines sophisticated damping and fade free performance with incredible light weight and outstanding structural integrity.
Shock Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure / 2-Position Open/Firm Lever / Rebound
12 x 148mm Boost Rear End
Full Water Bottle Storage
Rattle-Free Cable Routing
Molded Rubber Frame Protection
Fox Rhythm 36 Performance – With the stiffness of 36mm stanchions and the proven GRIP damper, the new Rhythm is only "entry level" in its price tag. This is an excellent fork for hard-charging trail riders.
Fork Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure / 3 Position Open/Medium/Firm Compression Lever / Rebound
SRAM NX Eagle™ – It's how you start that matters. Whether you're discovering the mountain for the first time or you're an MTB lifer searching for a no-nonsense, no-worries 1x drivetrain, SRAM NX Eagle is ready for action and ready to take you there. NX Eagle brings you a wide range of gear choices engineered for simplicity and durability, so you can focus on what matters most-the ride ahead. German engineered and proudly bearing the SRAM Eagle stamp of approval, NX Eagle is ready to let the world know what real riding feels like.
SRAM Code R Brakeset – Sleek, easy to use, yet immensely powerful. Code R packs a winning punch with a reliable DirectLink™ lever mated to Code’s new oversized four-piston caliper. SRAM’s signature ergonomics are supplemented by the tool-free reach adjust for a fit to each riders’ needs, to unleash Code’s superior braking power, consistency and modulation.
SRAM Centerline Rotors – The Centerline rotor was designed to keep the center of friction consistent throughout rotation, thereby minimizing vibration, offering consistent performance and a quiet ride.
Stan's NoTubes Flow D Wheelset – The Flow D was designed to live up to the quality you’ve come to expect from any product that bears the Flow name. Found as OE on builds from select brands, the Flow D is a value-driven all-mountain wheel designed to handle anything you can throw at it. The 29mm internal width is optimized for 2.35”-2.80” tires.
Maxxis Assegai Front Tire – The Maxxis Assegai tire is named after the iron-tipped spear used by the Zulu people of South Africa. Greg Minnaar, a native of South Africa, thought it was a fitting name for a tire ready to do battle on the mountain. The tall knobs punch through dust and loam to find traction, but also offer support and confidence on wet roots and rocks. While other tires excel only in certain conditions, the new Maxxis Assegai is built to go fast everywhere.
Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire – With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the DHR II corners like no other. The center tread features ramped leading edges to improve acceleration and sipes to create a smooth transition when leaning the bike. Paddle-like knobs on the center tread dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control. Pair it with a Minion DHF up front for the ultimate aggressive trail riding tire combo!
