If you value speed and stability - both uphill and down - you need to get the Marin Rift Zone 29 Carbon 1 Complete Mountain Bike on your radar pronto. Marin's most speed-oriented MultiTrac Suspension combines with a long, low, slack geo that crushes the competition on XC and trail rides alike. This bike screams versatility, and it comes with a fantastic component set tuned to get the most bang for your buck without compromising on performance. Saddle up, the Marin Rift Zone 29 Carbon 1 Complete Mountain Bike rips.
Unidirectional Carbon Fiber Frame – The Rift Zone Carbon models feature high modulus carbon fiber and monocoque construction to deliver the lightest, most capable, Rift Zone that Marin has ever made.
Fox Float DPS Performance Rear Shock – For a lightweight, inline shock, the DPS packs a lot of performance. The Dual Piston Base Valve has dedicated compression and rebound pistons, providing a firm lockout without compromising bump compliance, ride control, or efficiency. Performance Series FLOAT DPS shocks have fewer adjustments than Factory Series (no Open mode adjust tuning range), and have black anodized air sleeve and body instead of Genuine Kashima Coat. A Performance graphics package ties in the black-on-black look.
Shock Adjustments – Lever Actuated Open, Medium, Firm Modes / Rebound Adjust / Air Spring Pressure
MultiTrac Suspension Technology – MultiTrac is an acclaimed suspension system, fine-tuned to have a balanced ride capable of absorbing big hits with an efficient pedaling platform. The rocker link provides a progressive leverage ratio for the rear shock for small bump sensitivity and the feeling of a long travel system on large drops and rocks.
Modern Trail Geometry – The slack head tube angle paired with a steep seat tube angle create a ride that will fly uphill with perfect front wheel precision but then descend like it’s on rails. The balanced rider position thanks to the steep seat tube puts your weight between the wheels for impressive climbing and handling on flats, while the slack front end and short rear center help to pull you through the rough descents and corners with an intuitive feel.
Internal Routing – Compatible with internally routed dropper posts, with internal rear derailleur routing for a clean look and snag free ride.
Marzocchi Bomber Z2 – Marzocchi Bomber Z2 - Ready to shred with smooth and plush suspension. The new from-the-ground-up Rail damper combines low maintenance with intuitive ease of use and impressive on-trail performance. The top-of-fork simple sweep adjuster from firm to open can lock out the fork or fully open the system with plenty of positions in between.
Fork Adjustments – Low Speed Compression to Lockout / Rebound Adjust
Shimano SLX – This is everything you need and nothing you don't. Featuring tech from their XT and XTR groupsets, SLX offers consistent and reliable high performance, all at a lower price.
1x12 Drivetrain – A mix of Shimano SLX, FSA, and Marin products keep this drivetrain inexpensive all while delivering great performance.
TRP Slate Evo – Born from technology proven in World Cup DH and tuned for the demands of Aggressive XC, Trail and E-MTB bikes, the Slate EVO takes modulation and braking power to an entirely new level of control.
Rotors – 203mm Front / 180mm Rear
Double Wall Alloy Rims Laced to Forged Alloy Hubs – With sealed bearings, 29mm inner width, and 32 holes, these aluminum rims are light and strong--perfect for the do-it-all frame they're attached to.
Maxxis Assegai Front Tire – A beefy DH tire that's been a fave since it was released, the Assegai is great in the front or rear of a hard charging setup. It has big blocky knobs that maximize grip in all conditions.
Maxxis Aggressor Rear Tire – The Maxxis Aggressor is designed for high-speed, hard-packed, rocky trails. It works especially well as a rear tire paired with a Minion DHF or Assegai in the front.
