Earliest drawings are from age 6. Always had a pencil in my hand.
Who and what influences your art?
Warner Brother cartoons from the 1930/1940s and Car-toon Magazine are probably some of my greatest influences.
How does the board sports culture influence your art?
Been a skier since age 5 and always liked skateboarding and the art on them, but really got into the skate art heavily after meeting my wife’s older brother, skate legend, Tom Groholski.
How do you feel about wood as a medium?
I work with wood a lot and have lived in a log cabin for 7 years now...I'm surrounded by it. When I needed something to paint/stain on I just used what was around.
As a rider and artist, how important are board graphics to you?
It draws others interests into something they may not think their into, also keeps me entertained on the way down the slopes! |
