Create a spreadsheet or seven full of gravel bike stats. Pros, cons, benefits, costs. When you lay it all out and really analyze the data, gravel bike choices converge at the Diverge. It's the fastest, funnest all-road bike you're likely to find on this dusty, potholed Earth. The Specialized Diverge Expert Carbon Complete Bike is the all-carbon rocket that'll have you itching for your next ride, no matter how many miles you have planned. With SRAM Rival AXS wireless shifting and powerful hydraulic brakes there's no hill you can't climb (and turn right around and bomb down). Big tires are welcome, and the Future Shock suspension is no joke. For off-road ripping and the grandest of fondos, this is the ultimate bike.
FACT 9r Carbon Frame – With a FACT 9r carbon frame, the Diverge Expert frame is incredible capable and race bike light. Pin it for your local dirt climb KOM, or grind up a giant back country peak, the light and lively Diverge will get you there faster.
Future Shock 2.0 – With 20mm of axial compliance and a hydraulic damper, Future Shock 2.0 suspends the rider not the bike. This keeps you confident and in control, able to keep the power down and stay off the brakes over rough dirt roads and in thick loose gravel, all while keeping your hands, arms and neck fresh. Since Future Shock 2.0’s damper is adjustable, you’ll be ready for the rough stuff and efficient on smooth pavement.
Progressive Geometry – The new Diverge has the most progressive geometry Specialized has ever created for a drop bar bike, giving riders a capable and stable bike in the dirt that still feels responsive and nimble on the road. They've increased the frame’s reach, introduced a slacker head tube and a longer offset fork. All this creates incredible confidence with a planted feeling in the dirt while spec’ing shorter stems keeps the overall cockpit length the same and the steering lively. The bike’s low BB increases stability but is still high enough to utilize with 650b wheels if that’s your jam.
Large Tire Clearance – Nothing unlocks a bike’s capability like tire clearance, so Specialized gave the new Diverge a whopping 47mm of tire clearance with a 700c wheel and 2.1” with a 650b wheel.
Rack Mount Options – This frame has plenty of rack mounts, including fork and top tube mounts, to ensure you can take what you need. No matter how far you plan to go or how long you plan to stay out, there's room.
SWAT™ Door Integration – First introduced by Specialized in 2016, this revolutionary in-frame storage provides a place for pumps, spare tubes, and snacks, immediately rendering jersey pockets redundant.

SRAM Rival eTAP AXS – Clean, secure and reliable technology to match your ride. eTap wireless shift logic is simple and intuitive to ride: one button to go easier, one to go harder.
SRAM Rival eTAP AXS Brakeset – The best hydraulic disc braking anywhere, plus revolutionary eTap shift logic. What more could you want? While SRAM could have stopped there, they went further and optimized the hood shape to fit hands of all sizes, for comfortable and controlled braking from any position. AXS technology means personalization is in your hands.
Pathfinder Pro Tires – Born in the American Midwest, gravel riding is one of the fastest–growing styles of cycling. The sense of adventure, conquering new challenges, and simply experiencing a new style of riding are some of its big selling points, but doing so without the proper tires makes the difference between having fun and cursing and hollering on the side of the road. The Pathfinder delivers the versatility that these adventure-laden rides deserve—fast rolling, lots of grip, and a whole lot of fun.
Roval Terra C Wheelset – Combining flagship performance with workhorse dependability, the Terra C wheels deliver unbeatable carbon performance. The rims on the Terra C share the same dimensions and broad range of tire mounting possibilities as the Terra CLX and CL – 33mm deep with a 25mm internal width – but are crafted using a Resin Transfer Molding process which ensures maximum strength and material performance. The end result is an incredibly tough set of wheels that you can beat on to hell and back.
