Inviting All Humans Outdoors

In April 2022, we hosted six of our community impact partners at Journeyman Lodge in Whistler, BC. Between time on the skin track, exploring the ridges above the Callaghan Valley and meals together around the dinner table, we sat down to discuss the challenges underserved and underrepresented communities face in accessing the outdoors.

The most impactful thing that I've heard from a mentee over the past couple of years has been, ‘I see you doing these things and now I feel like I can do that.’
Layla Anane, She/Her

What's really beautiful is it has given me an avenue to feeling like I can be a good mentor just with what I have.
Anaheed Saatchi, They/Them

I think access to the outdoors is a right, and where possible we should be promoting that.
