The Arva Evo5+ Avalanche Beacon packs big safety into a tiny package. This palm-sized wonder is loaded with tech yet remains user-friendly, making it a hit with both weekend warriors and seasoned backcountry veterans. Small enough to forget it's there, but powerful enough to be your lifeline when the snow hits the fan.
Backlit Screen – For optimum contrast in all lighting conditions.
3 Antennas – Improve detection chances in signal search and precision in fine search.
Search Bandwidth – 50m
Marking Function – To identify victims already located. 3-victim display with "+" indication beyond 3 victims.
Digital Signal Processing – For efficient guidance of the rescuer to the burial zone.
Automatic Return to Transmission Timer – During a search, in case of a secondary avalanche, the automatic return to transmission function switches the device back to transmission mode automatically, without user intervention. The return to transmission can be done either by a timer, i.e., after a period of inactivity by the user, or by a motion detector, after a period without movement of the device.
Interference Management – Interference management optimizes the device's performance in a search environment "polluted" by electromagnetic interference. To do this, the device automatically reduces the search bandwidth to focus on the signal of the searched device, ignoring parasitic frequencies. This function can be disabled by the user.
U-Turn Alarm – To bring the rescuer back in the right direction in the event of distance.
Group Check Mode – Including control of transmission frequency.
Autotest Mode – Enables the device to diagnose the correct operation of its main functions.
Ultra-Compact – 111mm x 72mm x 20mm
Beacons Require Training – Wearing an avalanche beacon is no guarantee of safety in avalanche terrain. We recommend that backcountry travelers take an AIARE Level One class or the equivalent, and practice the skills they learn there regularly with their partners.
