Lake Atitlan

Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, included by author Aldous Huxley and German explorer and naturalist Alexander von Humboldt, Lake Atitlan was also nominated as one of the world’s seven wonders. Located in the Guatemalan highlands, flanked by towering green volcanoes, this deeply azure lake is dotted by quaint villages, peaceful and bustling alike, offering travelers’ excellent options for both adventure and rejuvenation.
