For a hard charging lady that cannot make her mind up between piste, powder, and everything in between, Rossignol created the Rossignol Temptation 88 Skis. Intended for those who spend half their time on piste and the rest off trail freeriding, with this ski you no longer have to be torn between your corn and corduroy or powder and piste. Born on the race course but raised by freeriders, this ski features explosive pop for edge to edge performance while its auto turn rocker allows for effortless maneuverability, float in the soft stuff and even more float thanks to Rossignol's patented Air Tip technology. Succumb to the Rossignol Temptation 88 Skis and embrace the all mountain, adrenaline filled adventure that awaits.
Auto Turn Rocker – The most versatile rocker and camber blend now features a longer, more progressive tip profile for increased stability and hard-snow precision. Traditional camber through 70% of the ski retains the power, energy, and edge grip for confident on-trail performance; while moderate tip and tail rocker encourages effortless carved turns, easy steering and instant speed control in all snow conditions.
Extended Sidecut – Rossignol developed this extended sidecut to improve high-speed grip while increasing low-speed handling. By extending the sidecut far into the tip, the full length of the ski is in contact with the snow when the skier is angulating and traveling at speed. At lower speeds, rotation is easier thanks to the tip and tail rocker.
Air Tip – Rossignol's patented air-honeycomb design reduces the weight of the ski and dramatically reduces swing weight (by nearly 30%). This significantly enhances maneuverability, giving the ski an incredibly ultra-light feel. The reduced density at the extremities also concentrates ski mass underfoot, allowing the tips to rise above the snow surface for truly effortless floatation. Reinforced with ABS skeleton for increased durability and enhanced torsional rigidity.
Light Wood – The ultra-lightweight paulownia wood core construction reduces overall ski weight by 30% for enhanced agility, maneuverability, and control with no compromise to downhill performance.
Carbon – This is the Formula 1 of fibers, incorporated to guarantee superior skiability. Carbon fiber's light weight and mechanical properties are unbeatable, providing power, grip and acceleration. This fiber requires a lot of work to adapt cores and flexibility, but when mastered it offers unparalleled ski-snow contact and breathtaking performance.
Maxicap Sandwhich – Very solid construction with reinforced topsheet for more durability. The sidewalls are angled at 30° to reduce inertia and overall weight while improving grip.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
