Armada Triumph Skis 2012: The Armada Triumph Skis are all about speed and stability. It is a tool designed and built for something it will probably never encounter: a race course. Inspired by both skier-cross and GS racing, this ski will let you go as fast as you’ve ever wanted to and faster than you should. The dimensions of a pure-bred race enable the Triumph to turn wherever you ask it to.
Positive Camber engages the tip and tail of the ski, enhancing ease of entry and exit into and out of a turn, while maintaining solid edge hold.
With an AR50 side wall, the ABS sidewall meets Cap construction, combining lightweight Cap construction in the tip and tail with ABS sidewall underfoot resulting in enhanced edgehold and significantly lower swing and overall weight.
The Triumph has a 1.7 edge, with the height and width deliberately smaller and the steel heat-treated to a proprietary hardness to increase durability and decrease weight.
The World Cup-inspired Comp base requires higher maintenance but pays for the extra TLC it requires with speed.
A Titanal Aluminum laminate layer stiffens the side camber deflection of the ski, which allows for tighter turns and increased dampening, creating a ski with exceptional hold-especially on ice.
The Hybrid Double Zone core is made up of two high density wood stringers that sit along ultralight wood creating a light core with pop and solid edge hold, while keeping swing and overall weight down. ABS layers are pre-installed alongside the core directly underfoot to concentrate the weight of the ski below the boot sole to increase durability and lower swing weight.
Flex Pattern: tip - 7, waist - 8, tail - 7.5 (out of 10)
We recommend a brake that is equal to the waist width and at most 20mm wider. (brake width = ski width + 20mm)
