Elan achieves this extraordinary level of nimbleness using a combination of SlimShape technology and their ultra light Tubelite core, with RST sidewalls added into the mix for security under hard edging.

Early Rise Rocker – Moderate rocker in the tip and tail results in a shorter effective length of the ski edge, enabling skiers to make effortless turns.
Shape
SlimShape Technology – Dramatically reduces weight, and delivers optimum edge hold from tip-to-tail, and a direct transfer of power to the edges at high speed. Additional carbon reinforcement in combination with RST sidewalls ensures powerful rebound and stability at high speeds.
Core
TubeLite Woodcore – Two hollow 5 mm carbon tubes are inserted into a specially selected light woodcore, running from tip to tail and following the arc of the ski's sidecut.
Laminates
Fiberglass – Positioned either above or below the ski core, the Fiberglass reinforcement optimizes the flex pattern and enhances torsional stiffness.
Sidewalls
RST Sidewalls – Tip to tail vertical sidewalls for optimal edgehold and direct power transmission

Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
