StepChild Joe Sexton Pro Model Snowboard 2012: Year two of the StepChild Joe Sexton Pro Model Snowboard; it has the same medium flex and versatile shape as his first pro model. The Kicker 1 Core and the rocker camber make this a fun and easy to ride snowboard. It has also been upgraded this year to the highly durable park formula sidewalls. The Armadillo plate binding reinforcement will keep the inserts in place for those hard ass presses and high impact landings. This board is a park and rail killer.
Medium Flex will give you good response from edge to edge without affecting the way the board hugs and presses on rails or boxes.
Kicker 1 Core
Biax fiberglass
Armadillo Plate is a diamond shaped extra layer of fiberglass placed over the inserts to help prevent insert blowout. The diamond shape strengthens that board around the inserts without interrupting the flex.
True twin shape with centered stance and side cut
Rocker – The board is pressed to resemble the bottom of a rocking chair. The rocker gives the board and easy riding feel as it is “pre-flexed” going into turns.
The Park Formula Sidewall is made out of Philan, which is lighter and harder than rubber, but provides similar impact absorption. This is meant to take a serious beat down.
Snag Free Bases are hardened by a temperature system that cooks the base harder as it’s pressed to the board. The base comes out harder than when it went in (that’s what she said).
Soft Belt Finish – pre-waxed
Non-stick UV lacquer coating
