The 2008 Rossignol Jeremy Jones is an all-mountain masterpiece 10 years in the making (as long as Jeremy’s been shredding the hill). Jeremy’s decade comes together in this Rossignol series. He likes to start the season on the 158-cm, more of an all-mountain freestyle shape. Around January he moves up to the 162-cm, for steeper lines of Tahoe and Jackson Hole. Then in the spring he relocates to Alaska and breaks out the 166-cm. And hey, with the UHMW 7.5 Sintered Base and Triple Hybrid Core, who can blame him for riding the poppiest, snappiest, fastest board year-round? The graphic on this board is all about Jeremy’s environment: from the ocean through the redwoods to the tops of the mountains, Jeremy finds his inspiration. Graphic novel (comic book) illustrato Craig Melchiano helped Jeremy’s board tell his story, taking quotes from Jeremy’s journal from during a tough season to illustrate his pro model Rossignol. Freeride Shape – Sidecut radius is single for consistency; Shape is very directional with a 2-cm insert setback for flotation; Nose is stiff for flotation and control; Tail is slightly softer for smoothness. Flex: 10/10
TH (Triple Hybrid) Core – 2 types of wood, Poplar and Fumé, laminated around a central Microcell beam, resulting in lower weight, balance, control and grip.
Dual Torsion Box C/K – Split the core into 3 sections, lock 2 of them in a fiberglass sock, overlay them with strips of Carbon and Kevlar, top it off with a full wrap of fiberglass and what do you get? Punch, enhanced durability, ridiculous edge grip and forgiving edge-to-edge transition.
