Product Info

If darting out from nowhere to snap up tasty powder lines is your raison d'être, the Burton Barracuda Snowboard is your weapon. Purpose-built for directional float, with a 50 mm stance setback and 15 mm of taper in the tail, the Barracuda is at the top of the food chain when it comes to slaying sidecountry pow lines. Burton's Nug Raduction™ construction lets you drop down 2-3 cm in length from what you normally ride without sacrificing float or stability.

Product Details

Rocker Type

S-Rocker™Entry rocker extends from the nose to under your front foot, then transitions to camber between your feet. Compressing the camber causes the entry rocker to naturally lift the nose, improving float and stability through deep-driving pow turns and variable conditions.

Flex

Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)5, A medium flex for easy turn initiation without giving up stability at speed

Infinite Ride™This Burton-exclusive technology allows for maximized pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Shape

15 mm tail taper for better tip floatation

Nug Raduction™Optimizes every element—from waist width and flex profile to sidecut and running length—letting you downsize up to 10cm from your normal board length. Light and lively, easy to throw around, surprisingly floaty, poppy, and stable at speed—Nug Raduction™ will change the way you look at board length.

Pro-Tip™A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

Sidecut

Directional with TaperDesigned to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop while allowing the tip to rise and tail to drop slightly in deep snow

Core

Super Fly II™ CoreStronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight - further optimized for float in Burton's freeride focused boards, and strength in their park boards.

Dual Zone™ EGD™Engineered Grain Direction manipulates the angles and direction of wood grains in the core for superior edge-hold, response, and durability.

Laminates

Triax™ FiberglassVersatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred

Carbon I-BeamThis ultra-light carbon backbone increases pop and longitudinal snap.

Sidewalls

10:45™ Sidewalls10:45’s extra-meaty, dual angle geometry results in better impact absorption and durability.

Base

Sintered WFOSuper fast base that retains wax well, 50% recycled content

Edges

Frostbite EdgesEdges beneath your bindings extend out slightly for tremendous edgehold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don’t, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining forgiving in softer conditions.

Topsheet

20-30% Recycled content

Graphics

Eliminated printing chemicals - uses more eco-friendly inks then traditional printing methods
