Two sheets of metal deliver a smooth, supple feel and solid edge-hold, giving you a playful and agile resort ski, or a pure ski mountaineering tool regardless of whether you mount it with pins or locked heels.

The traditional camber gives the ski edge-hold, control and rebound. The K2 BackUp Skis make contact with the snow at the traditional contact points regardless if the ski is unweighted, weighted or engaged in a turn

Construction
Women’s metal laminate skis are built with a thinner layer of Titanal. The thinner layer offers women an overall weight reduction while still providing expert level skiers the benefits of performance and dampening, consistent in metal laminate construction.

BioFlex is a unique combination of fir and spruce that is created in a process where a dense fir core underfoot is fused with lightweight spruce at the tip and tail to reduce swing weight. With the Alliance’s involvement, K2 developed a technology specific for women: lightweight, easy to maneuver, yet sturdy and high performance.
