The K2 Apache Interceptor Skis feature a standard camber that’s versatile for any and all conditions and terrain you might find yourself in, so your ride is anything but standard.
Construction
Cap construction makes the Interceptor Skis lightweight and durable, while the MOD Monic, a solid zinc mass embedded in the secondary core that dampens mass at a targeted location for a smoother and steadier ride, is specific for men to the amount of focused mass is specific to the rider. The MOD high performance suspension system absorbs vibrations and impact loads thanks to the secondary core independent from the wood core that can flex or move above it without affecting the overall flex. This means that the ski can stay smooth and versatile while greatly reducing vibrations and providing stronger edge hold and more control.
Flex
The K2 Apache Interceptor Skis use fir and aspen wood for their inherent strength, durability and energy, staying true to K2 men’s all-mountain skis. Triaxal braiding adds some extra strength due to the interlocking strands of fiberglass that surround the core, making for a tough, durable ski that still has the lively flex of a wood core.
