Atomic Blog Skis 2011: The Atomic Blog Ski was born for going big. Its super-floaty 110mm waist and powder-munching rocker design crave fields and spines steep enough to make a stunt pilot giddy. A tip-to-tail wood core provides a stable, responsive flex and traditional camber underfoot maximizes edge hold and pop. The rockered tip and tail ease upward for flotation in the deep stuff, and a unique step-down sidewall construction places a half-cap construction at the tip and tail for durability and impact resistance. The graphic is just as mind-blowing with lightning-inspired electricity streaks and hypnotic striations.

Construction
Pop Rocker 10 technology puts rocker in the tip and tail for optimal floatation in the powder whether you’re riding regular or switch. Traditional camber underfoot provides enhanced edge grip, maximum pop, and an overall better performance on hardpack. Step Down Sidewall construction in the binding area improves impact resistance and durability, and half-cap construction in the tip and tail protects the ski from mechanical damage.

Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
