Tired of watching other people have all the fun in powder? The Armada VJJ Skis have a rocker tail and tip to keep you floating and barreling through the deep like it's nobody's business while at the same time managing on the groomers. The specially designed, sandwiched camber will give you the control you crave without sacrificing float or manueverability. If you've been yearning to tackle the fresh and deep but worried about spending your days floundering, get the Armada VJJ and find out what everyone's talking about.
EST Freeride Rocker – The best of all worlds. Rockered tips and tails combined with positive camber underfoot to promote flotation in soft snow and provide remarkable edge control on the harder stuff.
Flex Pattern - Tip: 5.5, Waist: 6.5, Tail: 6 (1=soft; 10=stiff)
Tapered Tip and Tail – 5 dimension ski with the tip and tail narrower than the contact points
Dimensions (tip/contact point/waist/contact point/tail) – 126/136/115/133/123 mm
Hybrid UltraLight Core – Laminated lightweight wood core with pre-installed ABS layers laid alongside, directly under foot.
Laminate Matrix – Deliberate directional layering of fiberglass dictates flex pattern and torsional rigidity and allows each ski's flex to be precisely tuned. Bi-axial fiberglass runs in an “x” pattern down the ski to control lateral flex; Uni-directional fiberglass controls flex along the length of the ski; Tri-axial fiberglass, with fibers running in three directions, beefs up the center of the ski.
CK Stringer – Carbon Kevlar combo stringers lie on top of the laminate matrix along the tail to brace the ski. This increases the landing platform, especially when weight is distributed farther back in the ski than intended. It also gives the ski more pop and extends ski life.
AR50 Sidewall Construction – ABS sidewall meets cap construction – the best of both worlds. This engineering method combines the lightweight cap construction in the tip and tail with ABS sidewall underfoot, resulting in enhanced edgehold and significantly lower swing and overall weight.
50/50 Base – A blend of speed and durability, this base is faster than Armada’s S7 base but more rugged than the Comp series.
1.7 Impact Edge – The edge height and width is deliberately smaller and the steel is heat-treated to a proprietary hardness to increase durability and decrease weight.
Bindings not included
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
