The Khion Carbon is lighter and flexes stiffer than last year's Vulcan, but the overlap exoskeleton design offers a smoother and more progressive feel than ever before in a stiff touring boot. At 1530 grams per boot in a 27.5 with a 90˚ range of cuff motion, and with a legit 130 flex, the Khion Carbon really gives up very little to light touring boots on the climb and nothing to stiff cross-over boots on the down. A streamlined shape and cleverly engineered buckle system translate to minimal snow resistance in deeper snow.
