The combination of athlete-tested, highly functional design, The North Face quality, and a fully integrated ABS avalanche airbag system make The North Face Patrol 24 ABS Airbag Pack (w/ Activation Unit) a must for backcountry travelers. Unlike other clunky add-on systems, the Patrol 24 ABS is built to incorporate the ABS system into its design, so you don't need to sacrifice performance for safety. Add another tool to your backcountry safety arsenal this winter with the Patrol 24 ABS.

Higher denier internal materials to support ABS system
Fully Integrated ABS Airbag System – The ABS airbag system uses compressed nitrogen gas to deploy large, inflatable airbags in the event of an avalanche via a pull cord on the shoulder strap. A solid body of evidence including lots of real world experience has demonstrated that the larger surface area provided by airbags keep you higher up in the debris, increasing your chances of survival.
Avalanche tools pocket with organization sleeves and backcountry essentials checklist
Internal pocket for gear organization
Dual hip belt pockets
Proprietary metal hipbelt buckle for superior strength during an avalanche
Simple, stable, athlete-tested Hinch™ tuck-away ski and board carry systems
Reinforced high-abrasion zones on pack face
Leg/body harness
Warning – Wearing an airbag backpack is no guarantee of survival in an avalanche. Backcountry travelers are highly advised to educate themselves in snow stability assessment, route finding, and companion rescue and carry all of the conventional avalanche gear in addition to the airbag.
Used Activation Units – Spent activation units may only be refilled by ABS®; after deployment you should return the empty canister and trigger handle to an authorized dealer or ABS® where you will receive a credit toward the purchase of a full cartridge.
evo Seattle – evo Seattle is an authorized ABS® dealer and accepts spent Activation Units for exchange. Please call ahead for details.
